Douglas V. Chandler Certified as Legal Malpractice Specialist

After extensive review and examination, the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys (ABPLA) has certified Douglas V. Chandler as a legal malpractice specialist. Mr. Chandler is one of five Board Certified legal malpractice attorneys in Georgia.

The ABPLA is the only organization accredited by the American Bar Association to Board Certify attorneys in the areas of legal malpractice and medical malpractice. Due to the complexity of this litigation process, the ABPLA provides an objective standard by which to asses professional negligence attorneys, and encourages the selection of a Board Certified attorney as one would choose a Board Certified physician.

To become Board Certified, Mr. Chandler was required to demonstrate leadership in professional negligence law and complete a rigorous evaluation process, including:

• Written ABPLA examination.
• Significant portion of practice devoted to professional liability.
• Documented experience in relevant trial, mediation, arbitration, and other contested matters.
• Judge and attorney references attesting to substantial involvement and high level of competence.
