Douglas Chandler and Scot Kraeuter Speak About Ethics and Professionalism at Savannah Family Law Seminar
On August 23, 2013, Douglas Chandler of Chandler Law and Scot Kraeuter of Johnson, Kraeuter & Dunn presented to a crowd of about 80 family law attorneys at the Nuts and Bolts of Family Law ICLE seminar in Savannah, GA.
Their presentation, entitled All’s Fair in Love and War: Maintaining the Ethical Path in the Practice of Family Law, included an interactive discussion on how to prevent and address ethical problems.
“The ABA reports that about 12% of US legal malpractice claims are filed against family law attorneys,” Chandler commented. “Our goal was simple – help attorneys avoid issues, or quickly address them when necessary.” Kraeuter added, “The interactive format allowed us to discuss hypothetical situations, learning how to identify risks and make better decisions.”
Attendee feedback was very positive, with Chandler and Kraeuter receiving an average speaker evaluation score of 4.85 out of 5.0. The team will also present at the upcoming November Nuts and Bolts of Family Law seminar in Atlanta, telecast live throughout the state.
The Nuts and Bolts of Family Law, sponsored by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education In Georgia, is designed to provide fundamental basic support and guidance to family law practitioners.
