Douglas Chandler presented to new lawyers at State Bar of Georgia
Presentation: Professional Liability and Bar Complaints: Preventing, Covering, and Resolving Issues
Douglas Chandler of Chandler Law and Ed Alden of Alden & Associates presented at the 2016 ICLE Group Mentoring Seminar, co-sponsored by the State Bar of Georgia’s Transition into Law Practice Program (TILPP). Douglas’s and Ed’s presentation was titled Professional Liability and Bar Complaints: Preventing, Covering, and Resolving Issues. Douglas spoke about risk management for new lawyers. Douglas also talked about how to develop good practice habits. The goal, of course, is to prevent legal malpractice claims and bar grievances from clients. Ed spoke about professional liability and privacy liability insurance coverage issues. Ed also focused on the importance of having enough coverage.
The seminar had over 120 new lawyers in attendance at the State Bar headquarters in downtown Atlanta. Remote viewing was also available from Valdosta, Georgia. The seminar was recorded and will be replayed for other new lawyers in the TILP Program to watch on future dates.
