Douglas Chandler Speaks at American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys National Conference

 In Firm Announcements

On May 6, 2017, Douglas Chandler of Chandler Law, delivered a presentation, along with David Moon a Founding Partner of CompassPOINT Legal, at the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys National Legal and Medical Malpractice Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.  Mr. Chandler’s and Mr. Moon’s presentation entitled Risk Management, Cyber Security and Professional Liability focused on the significant cyber security risks facing law firms, what law firms should do to try to prevent and recognize attacks, and how law firms should respond when they are attacked.  Mr. Moon commented that “it isn’t a matter of if a law firm will be attacked, but when the law firm will be attacked.”  In his focus on law firm risk management, Mr. Chandler explained to the group of attorneys from across the United States that the “A.R.T of Risk Management (Avoid: avoid matters outside of competency, Retain: invest in up-to-date assets, and Transfer: purchase appropriate cyber coverage) applies not only to law firm practice management, but also to law firm cyber security protocol.”

Mr. Chandler and Mr. Moon are highly sought after presenters to law firms.  If your law firm or Bar Association would like to obtain more information about hosting a seminar on these topics, please contact Mr. Chandler at douglas@chandler-law.net.  The program has been approved for CLE credit by the State Bar of Georgia.
